Area of Responsibility

Akshay is responsible for business sourcing and ensuring the smooth delivery of business consulting assignments for the South Asia Hospitality team. His areas of work interest and responsibility include:

  • Research and Advisory assignments – assisting corporate in terms of Multi-Location analysis
  • Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Hospitality Transactions
  • Hospitality Funding
  • Development feasibilities for Projects, particularly Special Economic Zones
  • Strategic business planning
  • Creating entry strategies for funds and hotel operating brands.

Employment History

Akshay joined Cushman & Wakefield Hospitality Asia Pacific team in 2007. He has about 3.5 years experience with the Knight Frank India Pvt Ltd as National Director Hospitality & Leisure.

Akshay has a varied background with focus on Hospitality operations, human resource development and Hospitality education. His key skill areas include project conceptualisation, strategic planning, feasibility studies, financial planning and analysis, and operational consulting.

He has also been associated with ITC, ACCOR and Carlson Hospitality Worldwide.

Personal

Akshay is a MBA (International Hospitality management), from ESSEC-CORNELL, Paris and he has also holds a Bachelors in Hotel Management degree from the Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration, Manipal, Mangalore University.

Akshay has a strong background in real estate advisory specializing in the hospitality space and has worked with a broad range of funds, private investors, corporate houses and hotel brands on assignments covering areas such as:
